PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course is designed to improve your diving skills. And scuba divers can gain more confidence diving in different environments in Phuket. You do not need a lot of experience under your belt to take this course. However, you will need to take it after earning your PADI Open Water Diver certification. The course helps expand your scuba skills through different Adventure Dives. You try out different specialties. At the same time gaining your experience in many varied skill sets under the supervision of your PADI Instructor. Upon completion, you will have extra skill and can enjoy open water scuba diving in more place beyond your limit from Open Water Diving License Advanced Open Water includes 5 adventure dives. 2 mandatory dives will be Deep Dive and Underwater Navigation Dive. Others three dive will be elective to choose from the list below. - Peak Performance Buoyancy (PPB) - Underwater Naturalist - Wreck Dive - Night Dive - Search & Recovery - AWARE – Fish Identification - Enriched Air Nitrox - Boat Diving - Digital Underwater Imaging The course contents will vary according to the Adventure themes chosen, but you will discover: - Deep diving and its physiological effects - Using the tools to orient yourself underwater - Underwater orientation techniques - Use of a dive computer. For PADI (Junior) Open Water Divers who are at least 12 years old are ready to step up and enroll in an Advanced Open Water Diver course. Young divers may only participate in certain Adventure Dives

Itinerary

Day 1 :
Orientation to course, Underwater Navigation dive plus one elective dive, and night dive (optional)
Morning
Spend the morning in the classroom to meet an instructor, learn buoyancy, navigation & deep diving theory and choose 3 elective dives you are interested in
Afternoon
You will take the Underwater navigation dive, where you will learn how to use natural underwater references as well as how to correctly use a compass to navigate. Another dive is elective dive per your selection
Night (optional)
If you select night dive as one of your elective options, you will go out again around 6.00 pm
Day 2 :
Deep dive plus one elective Adventure dive
All day
You will take the Deep Dive where you will go down to a maximum depth of 30 m. Another dive is elective dive per your selection

Requirements

  • Minimum age: 15
  • Minimum certification: Open Water Diver
  • Complete medical form checklist and medically fit to dive
  • No flying for at least 18 hrs after scuba diving
  • Parental authorization for children will be required
  • Minimum age of 12 years old to take the Advanced Open Water Junior course
