Everyone! Whether you’re a first-timer looking to try your first dive or a seasoned pro seeking your next big underwater adventure, we offer trips for all skill levels. If you love the ocean, we’ve got something for you.

Do I need a scuba diving certification to book a trip?
No, you don’t need a certification to book a trip. We offer options for beginners, including try dives for those who have never dived before, as well as beginner courses for those looking to get certified. Some trips also allow non-divers to join, so if you have a non-diver coming along, please contact us. We may offer special rates for non-divers, though they won’t be able to participate in the diving activities.

How is Giant Stride different from other travel agencies?
Unlike typical travel agencies, Giant Stride focuses solely on scuba diving in Thailand. We curate dive packages—day trips, courses, and liveaboards—that are easy to book and tailored to divers of all levels.

How do I book a scuba diving trip through your site?
Booking is simple! Search for your dream dive spot, choose a trip (day trip, course, or liveaboard), and book securely online. Afterward, we’ll send all the details you need via email.

2. Pricing

What is the pricing of giantstridetravel.com compared to other websites?
We offer a Best Price Guarantee—our prices are the lowest you’ll find, whether you book through us or directly with dive operators. If you find a cheaper rate elsewhere for the same dive package, we’ll match it. You’re always getting the best deal with us!

Is the price on Giant Stride the same as booking directly with the service provider ?
The price on Giant Stride can be the same or even lower than booking directly with the service provider. Thanks to our Best Price Guarantee, we ensure you get a great deal. If you find a better price elsewhere, we’ll match it!

What’s included in the booking price?
Your booking typically includes the dive itself, a professional guide, and boat transport to the site. Gear rental and extras vary depending on the trip, so make sure to check the details when you book. We keep everything transparent for you.

3. Booking & Payment

Is my booking confirmed once I place my order? 
Not immediately. After you place your order, we double-check availability with the dive operator before confirming your booking. Many operators are small businesses without real-time online systems—and some even use offline books! We’ll confirm with you within 24 hours, though it’s usually much faster, often within 2 hours.

How do I know my booking is confirmed?
Once your booking is confirmed, we’ll send a confirmation email to the address you provided during booking. Keep an eye on your inbox (and maybe your spam folder, just in case)!

What happens if my booking isn’t confirmed?
If your booking can’t be confirmed, we’ll send you a rejection email and release your payment—no charges will hit your card. We’ll also reach out via email or phone to offer alternative trips that fit your schedule. We've got you covered!

What will happen after my trip is confirmed? 
Once your booking is confirmed, you’ll receive a confirmation email. If you haven’t completed your diver information during booking, please do so using the link in the email or through your account (Account > Trips > Trip Details > Go to Diver Info in the upper right corner). Providing this information helps ensure a smooth experience.

If you need pickup service, please enter your pickup location. 1–3 days before your trip, our team will contact you with your pickup details. For some services, you may need to check in at the dive center instead.  

For Liveaboard, if only a deposit was required at booking, you’ll receive details for the remaining payment. Please make the payment on time to avoid trip cancellation.

What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards for easy booking. If that doesn’t work for you, no worries—we can also arrange a bank transfer. Just reach out to us at [email protected], and we’ll sort it out!

Do I need to pay the full amount upfront?
When you book, we place a hold on your card, but nothing is charged yet. Once we confirm availability with the dive operator, we’ll charge your card according to the service's payment policy. Details can be found on the service page for each trip.

In what currency will I be charged?
You will be charged in Thai Baht. The currency converter on the site is for informational purposes only, and actual rates may vary depending on your credit card processor.

How do I provide my diving information? 
For day trips and courses, we’ll ask for details like your dive history and equipment measurements at the booking. If you don’t have all the information right away, no worries! You can update it later via:
  • Your account (Account > Trips > Trip Details > Go to Diver Info in the upper right corner)
  • The link in your confirmation email (if you booked without an account)
For liveaboards, once your booking is confirmed, you can access the diver information page using the link in your confirmation email or through your account (Account > Trips > Trip Details > Go to Diver Info).

4. Cancellation & Refunds

What is the cancellation policy?
We follow the cancellation policy of each dive operator, so the terms may vary depending on the service. You can find the specific cancellation policy on each service page.

How do I cancel my trip? 
If you have an account, log in, go to Trips, open your trip details, and click the cancellation button—it’s that easy!
No account? No problem! Just email us at [email protected], and we’ll handle it for you. Our team is available 24/7.
If you're eligible for a refund, we’ll process it automatically. You don’t need to do a thing!

Can I get a refund if I cancel my trip?
It depends. Most trips offer a full or partial refund if you cancel within the specified period. However, cancellation policies vary by service, so be sure to check the policy on the service page. Please note that all cancellations are subject to a 5% administration fee.

What happens if the trip is canceled by the operator?
If the operator cancels your trip, we’ll reach out to help you find an alternative trip that suits you. If no suitable option is available, we’ll process a full refund to your original payment method.

5. Special Requests & Customization

How can I make changes to my reservation?
To request a change on a confirmed reservation, please contact us or email to [email protected]. We’ll do our best to assist you!  

If I have special requirements, how can I inform this information?
On the booking page, you’ll be asked if you have any special requests. You can include your dietary restrictions, specific pick up location along with other details there. Alternatively, you can always email us at [email protected].

What should I bring for my diving trip?
We recommend bringing the following items for your diving trip:
