There are many dive sites around Koh Tao such as: Shark Island: The name of the dive site is not because there is a shark, but from the rock form like shark dorsal fin. This dive site you can expect to see turtles and gardens of both hard and soft coral HTMS Sattakut: 49-meter-long shipwreck HTMS Sattakut sank purposefully between 18 and 30 meters. This former US World War II Navy vessel was commissioned to the Royal Thai Navy in 1947 The wreck is completely empty inside which makes it a great place to practice diving in overhead environments. Other possible dive sites in Koh Samui to Koh Tao trips are Junk Yard and Southwest Pinnacle.
