Pitching at Money20/20: Giant Stride’s Venture Spark Demo Day

By Jaruda Suppakarnpanich Date 30 Apr 2025
April 28, 2025 Hey there, it’s Jaruda Suppakarnpanich, co-founder of Giant Stride, back with the next chapter of our Venture Spark Accelerator journey! If you caught my last post, you know how pumped we were to join this awesome program in February. Fast forward to April 22-24, and I got to live out a dream: pitching Giant Stride at Money20/20 Asia in Bangkok’s Queen Sirikit National Convention Center. Spoiler alert—it was a wild ride, and I’m still buzzing!

The Big Opportunity: Demo Day at Money20/20

Money20/20 Asia is a huge deal for startups, especially in fintech and travel tech like ours. As part of Venture Spark’s program, we got the chance to attend and, on April 22, take the stage for their Demo Day. Picture this: me, standing in front of over 100 investors, industry folks, and big names, ready to pitch Giant Stride’s vision. It was my first time speaking to such a massive crowd, and let me tell you, I was equal parts nervous and so excited. This was our shot to show the world what we’re building!

Getting Ready: Practice Makes (Almost) Perfect

Leading up to Demo Day, I was all-in on prep. Crafting the perfect pitch isn’t just about throwing together some slides—it’s about telling a story that sticks. I spent weeks tweaking every word, making sure our mission to revolutionize dive travel tech came through loud and clear. I practiced in front of my team, my mirror, even my dog (she’s a tough critic). Every run-through helped me cut fluff, sharpen the message, and nail the timing. Venture Spark’s mentors were game-changers here, giving me feedback that made the pitch tighter and punchier. By the time April 22 rolled around, I felt ready to rock it.

The Pitch: Nailing It!

When I stepped onto that stage, the room felt electric. Over 100 pairs of eyes on me, and all I could think was, “This is it, Jaruda—go for it.” I poured my heart into those few minutes, sharing how Giant Stride is shaking up the dive travel industry with smarter, safer, and more sustainable tech solutions. The nerves melted away as I hit my stride, and by the end, the applause told me I’d done something right. Walking off stage, I couldn’t stop grinning—I think I nailed it! That feeling of owning the moment, knowing I’d given it my all, is something I’ll carry forever.

Why It Mattered

This wasn’t just about one pitch. It was about putting Giant Stride on the map, connecting with investors who believe in our vision, and proving to myself I could step up in a high-stakes setting. Money20/20 gave us a platform to shine, and I’m so proud of how far we’ve come since joining Venture Spark. Plus, rubbing shoulders with other Thai startups at Demo Day (shoutout to the crew I met—y’all are inspiring!) showed me how vibrant Thailand’s startup scene is.

A Huge Thank You

None of this would’ve happened without the Venture Spark Accelerator team. Their support, from mentorship to opening doors like Money20/20, has been unreal. They believed in Giant Stride from day one, and I’m beyond grateful for this opportunity to grow, learn, and pitch our hearts out. Here’s to more milestones together!
